About the STM32F030K6 PCB

STM32F030K6 is an open source STM32 PCB design by r-pv, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 22 × 41 mm, with 23 components from 17 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the STM32F030K6T6, from the STM32 family. Other key parts include the AMS1117. By type, the board carries 5 connectors, 5 capacitors, 5 resistors, 3 diodes, 2 ICs and 1 crystal.

It belongs with the dev boards & breakouts designs in this gallery.

From the project

Custom board for the STM32F30K6T6 MCU, compatible with STM32Duino (Arduino).

An ST development board based on the rSTM32F030K6T6/rSTM32F030K6 (Clock: 48MHz, flash: 32Kb, Ram:4Kb) MCU (LQFP-32) compatible with STM32Duino (Arduino).

Update: STCore v2.0 includes support for this MCU, if you're using STCore v2.0 you don't need to install anything.

- This requires the STM32 core for arduino, the ST original. - I used this guide to add the board), you can check it or continue with my suggestions to install the new board. - Copy the "DEMOF030K6" folder to the Arduino "variants" folder, in win7 is located at…

STM32F030K6: common questions

What microcontroller does the STM32F030K6 use?

The STM32F030K6 is built around the STM32F030K6T6, from the STM32 family.

How big is the STM32F030K6 PCB?

The STM32F030K6 measures 22 × 41 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the STM32F030K6?

23 components, from 17 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the STM32F030K6 design files?

From the r-pv/STM32F030K6 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the STM32F030K6 design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which r-pv chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the STM32F030K6 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
