About the C-13X PCB

C-13X is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by ramonimbao, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 216.7 × 89.7 mm, with 134 components from 28 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ATMEGA32A-AU, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the SRV05-4. By type, the board carries 70 LEDs, 37 diodes, 5 capacitors, 4 resistors, 2 ICs and 2 switches.

It belongs with the keyboards designs in this gallery.

A PCB for the C-13X

- ATmega32A - ai03 daughterboard compatible - Solder and Kailh hotswap compatible

1. JLCPCB.com 2. Upload the gerber zip file from the Gerbers directory. 3. Select SMT assembly as an option. 4. Select the bottom side to assemble. 5. Upload the BOM and CPL files from the JLCPCB directory. 6. Place your order. 7. ??? 8. Profit!

Once you've received the boards, you will have to flash a bootloader on it before being able to flash any QMK firmware on it.

C-13X: common questions

What microcontroller does the C-13X use?

The C-13X is built around the ATMEGA32A-AU, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the C-13X PCB?

The C-13X measures 216.7 × 89.7 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the C-13X?

134 components, from 28 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the C-13X design files?

From the ramonimbao/C-13X-PCB repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the C-13X design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which ramonimbao chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the C-13X without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
