About the Arduino As Uno PCB

Arduino As Uno is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by RobertPHeller, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 68.6 × 53.3 mm, with 8 components from 5 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the Arduino_1pin, from the AVR/Arduino family.

From the project

Model 2nd Generation Diesel Locomotive Control Stand

This is a model diesel locomotive control stand (more or less typical of a 2nd generation diesel locomotive).

2ndGenLocoControlStand.dxf, 2ndGenLocoControlStand.gcad, and 2ndGenLocoControlStand.tcl relate to the 3D model of the front panel (based on a Hammond Manucafturing RL6685 enclosure).

The ESP32ControlStand directory contains the ESP32 (TTGO-T1) based design, the electronics are in KiCad form (Version: 2013.06.11). The ESP32ControlStand/ESP32ControlStand_Node directory contains the OpenMRN code (C++, Arduino style using the OpenMRNLite library).

Arduino As Uno: common questions

What microcontroller does the Arduino As Uno use?

The Arduino As Uno is built around the Arduino_1pin, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the Arduino As Uno PCB?

The Arduino As Uno measures 68.6 × 53.3 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Arduino As Uno?

8 components, from 5 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Arduino As Uno design files?

From the RobertPHeller/2ndGenLocoControlStand repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Arduino As Uno design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which RobertPHeller chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Arduino As Uno without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
