About the CmxRf PCB

CmxRf is an open source PCB design by SatcomRadio, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 25 × 55 mm, with 5 components from 3 distinct parts.

By type, the board carries 3 connectors, 1 IC and 1 resistor.

It belongs with the rf & radio designs in this gallery.

Hybrid coupler boards for circular polarization

This repo consists of different boards that use different devices to get circular polarized antennas.

All the PCB boards have a version that where you can use SMA connectors or soldered wires. If you want to use the SMA connector boards, you will need to buy:

You must connect them correctly! Each port has to be a "dipole". Depending on their orientation you will get RHCP or LHCP.

CmxRf: common questions

How big is the CmxRf PCB?

The CmxRf measures 25 × 55 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the CmxRf?

5 components, from 3 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the CmxRf design files?

From the SatcomRadio/Hybrid_Couplers repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the CmxRf design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which SatcomRadio chose for the repository.
