About the U O C flat PCB

U O C flat is an open source NXP PCB design by seismicindustries, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 40 × 108 mm, with 107 components from 32 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the Teensy3.2, from the NXP family. Other key parts include the DAC8565, MP1469, AP2210N-3.3TRG1_/_SOT23-3, MCP6004 and TL074. By type, the board carries 46 resistors, 29 capacitors, 6 ICs, 4 transistors, 3 inductors and 2 switches.

From the project

the Ornament & Crime from mxmxmx - but small n flat so it fits my system

with the same formfactor as the uOC but different placement of the encoders and buttons

also the linear regulator has been replaced by a MP1469 regulator.

-> so far the design is untested. i made some PCB but i don't have my display yet...

U O C flat: common questions

What microcontroller does the U O C flat use?

The U O C flat is built around the Teensy3.2, from the NXP family.

How big is the U O C flat PCB?

The U O C flat measures 40 × 108 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the U O C flat?

107 components, from 32 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the U O C flat design files?

From the seismicindustries/u_O_C_flat repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the U O C flat design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with seismicindustries. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the U O C flat without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug NXP firmware against it before you order a PCB.
