Alternative Arduino UNO based shield and firmware for Petalot

For more information about Petalot and its construction read at https://github.com/function3d/petalot.

This alternative board version based on parts and components found in a junk box, such as old Arduino UNO/Duemilanove, MX1508 stepper controller, external 12-13V power suppply, EM257 stepper from old printer, unlike origintal version it does not use WiFi remote control.

Arduino uno pet puller: common questions

What microcontroller does the Arduino uno pet puller use?

The Arduino uno pet puller is built around the Arduino_UNO_R2, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the Arduino uno pet puller PCB?

The Arduino uno pet puller measures 75.4 × 53.9 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Arduino uno pet puller?

20 components, from 15 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Arduino uno pet puller design files?

From the sh123/arduino_uno_pet_puller repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Arduino uno pet puller design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-2.0 license, which sh123 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Arduino uno pet puller without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
