About the Protected buck unrouted PCB

Protected buck unrouted is an open source PCB design by Shanshan3133, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 120 × 70 mm, with 31 components from 23 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the TPS26600PWPR and TPS5431DDA. By type, the board carries 16 resistors, 7 capacitors, 3 connectors, 2 ICs, 2 diodes and 1 inductor.

It belongs with the power & battery and test & measurement designs in this gallery.

From the project

KiCad protected buck converter with Python-based automated hardware validation, fault injection, and CI reporting

A portfolio project combining a protected 5 V buck-converter PCB with a Python automated validation bench. It demonstrates PCB design, instrument automation, fault injection, safety interlocks, data logging, and CI-style reporting—the day-to-day concerns of hardware validation and systems-integration engineering.

The editable source is hardware/protectedbuck.kicadsch; its generated PDF is included for design review. KiCad 10.0.6 reports zero ERC errors and zero ERC warnings, and the automated parity check matches all 88 schematic pins to 88 PCB pads.
