About the Busdisplay board

Busdisplay board is an open source PIC PCB design by Sirawit7205, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-S-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 33 × 50 mm, with 26 components from 12 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the PIC16F570-ISO, from the PIC family. Other key parts include the 74HCT245. By type, the board carries 13 resistors, 4 connectors, 3 transistors, 3 capacitors, 2 ICs and 1 LED.

From the project

A small pcb that reads the value on an 8-bit bus

This is an open-source KiCad design files for a circuit that could be connected to an 8-bit bus to monitor the value on it in decimal or hexadecimal.

The board is 33x50mm (perfect for 3x2 panel). Featuring:

- PIC16F570 Microcontroller + ICSP header - 74HCT245 Transceiver as an input buffer - 3-digit 7-segment Display - Hex/Dec Selector Header - Power and Data Input Headers

Busdisplay board: common questions

What microcontroller does the Busdisplay board use?

The Busdisplay board is built around the PIC16F570-ISO, from the PIC family.

How big is the Busdisplay board?

The Busdisplay board measures 33 × 50 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Busdisplay board?

26 components, from 12 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Busdisplay board design files?

From the Sirawit7205/busdisplay-board repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Busdisplay board design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-S-2.0 license, which Sirawit7205 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Busdisplay board without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug PIC firmware against it before you order a PCB.
