About the EIS Board

EIS Board is an open source PCB design by Steven-Vokoun, published on GitHub. It is a 4-layer board measuring 40 × 50 mm, with 62 components from 27 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the DG2034EDQ-T1-GE3, NX3L4051PW_118, AD8606ARM, MAX4646EUK+T and LTC6904CMS8-PBF. By type, the board carries 23 capacitors, 23 resistors, 9 ICs, 3 connectors, 2 test points and 1 jumper.

It belongs with the power & battery designs in this gallery.

From the project

Independent study project creating a portable potentiostatic EIS solution. Currently under development.

Improvements I need to make in the future: - Implementation of the internal 5x switchable gains - Shift screen off to the left hand side of the enclosure, so then the power supply can be placed right next to the analog board. Also put filtering on the i2c lines. - Configuration of 3 electrode switching with a double pole relay instead to completely get it out of the circuit - Have an external calibration board to account for lead inductance and capacitance - Add a warning for when the output is hitting supply rails

EIS Board: common questions

How big is the EIS Board?

The EIS Board measures 40 × 50 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the EIS Board?

62 components, from 27 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the EIS Board design files?

From the Steven-Vokoun/RPI4-and-AD5933-EIS-Analyzer repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the EIS Board design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Steven-Vokoun. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
