About the VU-Switch PCB
VU-Switch is an open source PCB design by tebl, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-1.2 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 99.1 × 61.6 mm, with 29 components from 21 distinct parts.
Other key parts include the LM7805_TO220 and VU_Module. By type, the board carries 13 connectors, 5 modules, 4 relays, 3 capacitors, 2 diodes and 1 IC.
It belongs with the audio designs in this gallery.
From the project
Building an audio input switcher, four 3.5mm audio inputs and one 3.5mm audio output for connecting to my 80s Boombox. VU-meters added, because they're cool!
The first part of this project is therefore the passive audio switch, it allows up to four 3.5mm audio inputs that are switched to one output using relays. The PCB designed for it is the main part of this part, in addition to the documentation needed to actually build the complete unit.
The final part was the VU meter driver board and parts, those I'm using without any modification as the kit I bought on AliExpress (also available on Banggood and ebay) so far seems to work as intended. Just search for 2 Pcs VU Meter Warm Backlight Recording Audio Level Amp With Driver Module, or any…
