Remote PCB layout, top view — open source board by TheRetroWeb

About the Remote PCB

Remote is an open source PCB design by TheRetroWeb, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-P-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 50 × 50 mm, with 16 components from 14 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the AMS1117-3.3 and MCP23009-SO. By type, the board carries 5 connectors, 4 switches, 3 resistors, 2 ICs, 1 buzzer and 1 capacitor.

It belongs with the displays & leds designs in this gallery.

RPi Pico based POST (Power-On Self Test) Diagnostic Card

PicoPOST is a PC diagnostic card for systems with, at least, an 8-bit ISA slot. It's based around the Raspberry Pi Pico, powered by an RP2040.

PicoPOST is designed to provide many additional benefits over the basic POST cards that are commonly available from Chinese vendors on eBay and other sites.

This project is getting ready for public usage, with a few prototypes already in use for development purposes. More information soon as it gets finalized.

Remote: common questions

How big is the Remote PCB?

The Remote measures 50 × 50 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Remote?

16 components, from 14 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Remote design files?

From the TheRetroWeb/PicoPOST repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Remote design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-P-2.0 license, which TheRetroWeb chose for the repository.
