About the ST4Breakout PCB

ST4Breakout is an open source PCB design by tvarnish, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 48.3 × 30.5 mm, with 7 components from 4 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the TIL196. By type, the board carries 4 resistors, 2 connectors and 1 IC.

It belongs with the dev boards & breakouts and science & space designs in this gallery.

From the project

An open-source, ST-4 autoguider breakout board for simple Raspberry Pi and Arduino telescope mount control :telescope: :milky_way:

To trigger an axis, pull the corresponding input header pin HIGH (5V). This breakout board can be used for dual-axis control at a single slewing speed (set by the motor drive handset).

I had the v0.1 board printed with JLCPCB, as seen in the image above.

All of the KiCAD files (and gerbers) for the breakout can be found in the /ST4Breakout directory.
