From the project

This repo contains the hardware and firmware for the 2025 Hybrid Rocket Engine FYP test stand electronics.

This repo contains the hardware and firmware for the 2025 Hybrid Rocket Engine FYP test stand electronics.

The hardware consists of three seperate modules, the central ECU alongside a servo and ADC peripheral. Central to peripheral communication uses CAN-FD and is designed to be modular, while communications to a remote interface unit is done over RS422. For more information on the RIU it can be found here.

Servo ECU Board: common questions

What microcontroller does the Servo ECU Board use?

The Servo ECU Board is built around the STM32G0B1RCT6, from the STM32 family.

How big is the Servo ECU Board?

The Servo ECU Board measures 100 × 50 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Servo ECU Board?

84 components, from 49 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Servo ECU Board design files?

From the UC-Aerospace/Hybrid25_ECU repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Servo ECU Board design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with UC-Aerospace. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Servo ECU Board without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
