About the 2019 USBasp PCB
2019 USBasp is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by uwezi, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 53.3 × 34.3 mm, with 39 components from 18 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ATmega88-20AU, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the AP1117-33. By type, the board carries 12 resistors, 7 capacitors, 6 connectors, 6 diodes, 4 jumpers and 2 ICs.
It belongs with the dev boards & breakouts and usb & debug tools designs in this gallery.
From the project
2019 edition of a breadboard USBasp AVR programmer
This is just a quick upload place for my project around an USBasp AVR programmer based on the circuit used by Thomas Fischl, but easily placeable on a standard breadboard.
The necessary gerber files for pcb manufacturing can be found in the folder "production"
A plan could be to merge the hardware layout with another firmware like https://github.com/mariusgreuel/USBasp

2019 USBasp: common questions
What microcontroller does the 2019 USBasp use?
The 2019 USBasp is built around the ATmega88-20AU, from the AVR/Arduino family.
How big is the 2019 USBasp PCB?
The 2019 USBasp measures 53.3 × 34.3 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the 2019 USBasp?
39 components, from 18 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the 2019 USBasp design files?
From the uwezi/2019_USBasp repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the 2019 USBasp design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which uwezi chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the 2019 USBasp without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
