Home-built Matter-over-Thread devices for Home Assistant — battery-powered e-ink room sensor on XIAO ESP32-C6

Investigation into replacing the hand-wired sensor-01 build with a custom PCB, and the board designs that came out of it.

Don't build a full custom PCB for three units. Build hb-01, hand-wire the three units, and measure the assembled device before letting any power argument justify a board spin. Full reasoning in pcb-evaluation.md.

Audited 2026-08-13 against the main docs. None of these are fatal to the evaluation's conclusion, but every one must be resolved before hb-01 is ordered.
