About the Cashout-Station PCB

Cashout-Station is an open source ESP32 PCB design by Waddle-Penguin, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 48 × 110 mm, with 16 components from 11 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the XIAO-ESP32-C6, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the Batt Step Down. By type, the board carries 4 resistors, 2 ICs, 2 modules, 2 switches, 2 diodes and 2 capacitors.

Hello everybody, this is my latest project: The Cashout Station!

Hello everybody, this is my latest project: The Cashout Station!

This project is inspired from my favorite video game,'The Finals', a team based FPS shooter, as well as one of my friends projects: https://github.com/jamdotjar/ULTRATERM which is another terminal inspired from a video game. In the game, the cashout is the objective point, where you insert the 'Cashbox' to begin an objective point. In my version, you insert the cahbox to launch the game and play some of the game music.

Cashout-Station: common questions

What microcontroller does the Cashout-Station use?

The Cashout-Station is built around the XIAO-ESP32-C6, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Cashout-Station PCB?

The Cashout-Station measures 48 × 110 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Cashout-Station?

16 components, from 11 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Cashout-Station design files?

From the Waddle-Penguin/Cashout-Station repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Cashout-Station design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Waddle-Penguin. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Cashout-Station without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
