About the FiniteAntennaPatch PCB

FiniteAntennaPatch is an open source PCB design by yilmaz-kaan, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 225 × 80 mm, with 8 components from 1 distinct parts.

It belongs with the rf & radio and usb & debug tools designs in this gallery.

From the project

Rice ECE BEAMFORM Capstone Project Repo

The OpenPhasedArray is an open-source, modular 4-element transceiver phased-array board adaptable across software-defined radio platforms and optimized for S-band frequencies. It is ideal for hobby or research-grade beamforming experiments or sensing and communications prototyping. It is a modular design that is easily stackable both vertically and horizontally using the provided 3D-printable board mount. It is (optionally) interfaced with by the FT232H USB-to-serial converter for easy, Python-based control.

FiniteAntennaPatch: common questions

How big is the FiniteAntennaPatch PCB?

The FiniteAntennaPatch measures 225 × 80 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the FiniteAntennaPatch?

8 components, from 1 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the FiniteAntennaPatch design files?

From the yilmaz-kaan/OpenPhasedArray repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the FiniteAntennaPatch design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with yilmaz-kaan. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
