About the Module Panel (Faceplate FP1)

Module Panel (Faceplate FP1) is an open source PCB design by ytmytm, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-1.2 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 100 × 35 mm, with 4 components from 1 distinct parts.

It belongs with the retro computing designs in this gallery.

From the project

Pi1551 in a Pi1541-III-style case: 1551 + TAP for Plus/4/C16, no 3D printing

A 1551 floppy emulator for Commodore C16, C116 and Plus/4, in the same mechanical and aesthetic package as the C64 Pi1541-III: Raspberry Pi 3–based, 1.3" OLED, rotary encoder, and stack of PCBs with faceplates.

This variant uses the Pi1551 firmware and connects to the computer via tcbm2sd (TCBM bus). It also adds a MiniDIN-7 port for TAP tape playback with a simple 1:1 male-to-male cable to the machine’s tape port.
