About the Full PCB
Full is an open source Nordic nRF PCB design by zzeneg, published on GitHub under the GPL-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 281.7 × 95.7 mm, with 118 components from 13 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the 102010469, from the Nordic nRF family. By type, the board carries 40 switches, 40 diodes, 8 connectors, 6 jumpers and 2 ICs.
It belongs with the keyboards and iot & wireless designs in this gallery.
From the project
Split wired/wireless keyboard with 40 keys
Split keyboard with 40 keys using XIAO controllers.
- 40 keys - high profile (regular MX switches with hotswap sockets) or low profile (soldered low-profile ChocV2 switches) - wired/wireless versions - aggressive stagger - slightly splayed for pinky columns
- XIAO RP2040 controller - QMK firmware - USB-C or TRRS connection between splits - one rotary encoder (without click) - status LED

Full: common questions
What microcontroller does the Full use?
The Full is built around the 102010469, from the Nordic nRF family.
How big is the Full PCB?
The Full measures 281.7 × 95.7 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Full?
118 components, from 13 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Full design files?
From the zzeneg/pica40 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Full design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its GPL-2.0 license, which zzeneg chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Full without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug Nordic nRF firmware against it before you order a PCB.
