About the FRMW Expansion stuff PCB
FRMW Expansion stuff is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by a-little-wifi, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 118.7 × 72.5 mm, with 91 components from 19 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the FE1.1s. By type, the board carries 57 capacitors, 14 resistors, 12 transistors, 2 ICs, 1 connector and 1 diode.
It belongs with the audio designs in this gallery.
From the project
MXM GPU + Dell E-Port dock adapter for 16" Framework laptop expansion bay
This is a board meant to fit in the GPU expansion bay of the 16" Framework laptop. Its primary purpose is to add Dell E-port dock support, but since that requires display outputs, an MXM GPU slot is added as well.
This is a very unfinished project that I started when the 16" Framework laptop was announced, but I probably won't be working on it much anymore since I don't plan on actually buying the laptop. I'm putting it here for anyone who might be interested.

FRMW Expansion stuff: common questions
What microcontroller does the FRMW Expansion stuff use?
The FRMW Expansion stuff is built around the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.
How big is the FRMW Expansion stuff PCB?
The FRMW Expansion stuff measures 118.7 × 72.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the FRMW Expansion stuff?
91 components, from 19 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the FRMW Expansion stuff design files?
From the a-little-wifi/frmw-16-MXM-E-port repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the FRMW Expansion stuff design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with a-little-wifi. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the FRMW Expansion stuff without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
