About the Dev board
Dev board is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by a-s-adam, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 58.8 × 41.3 mm, with 35 components from 20 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ATmega32L-8A, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the AMS1117-3.3 and CH330N. By type, the board carries 10 capacitors, 8 resistors, 7 diodes, 3 ICs, 3 switches and 2 connectors.
It belongs with the dev boards & breakouts designs in this gallery.

Repository for PCB designs
Working with JDM product development structures, it's hard to get full exposure on an entire electrical PCB design from start to finish. The goal of this repository is to display design, component selection, schematic capture, layout, ordering, and bring-up without sharing designs done during my 9-5 job.
dev_board - Working to redefine scope of this board; originally it was ATMEGA which is less common in production boards, so I'm exploring ESP32 based system to make an IoT mesh network. - [Work in Progress]

Dev board: common questions
What microcontroller does the Dev board use?
The Dev board is built around the ATmega32L-8A, from the AVR/Arduino family.
How big is the Dev board?
The Dev board measures 58.8 × 41.3 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Dev board?
35 components, from 20 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Dev board design files?
From the a-s-adam/pcb_work repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Dev board design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with a-s-adam. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Dev board without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
