About the Baby tracker suite PCB

Baby tracker suite is an open source ESP32 PCB design by aamat09, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 80 × 100 mm, with 17 components from 17 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ESP32-C3 SuperMini, from the ESP32 family. By type, the board carries 15 switches, 1 IC and 1 LED.

It belongs with the iot & wireless and power & battery designs in this gallery.

From the project

Baby care tracking suite: HA dashboards, n8n workflows, PostgreSQL, ESP32-C3 remote with 3D-printed enclosure

A handheld 15-button remote so you can log a feed/diaper/sleep with one press instead of unlocking a phone at 3am. An ESP32-C3 reads the buttons and publishes each press over MQTT; Home Assistant / n8n pick it up and log the event.

Each button publishes to baby/remote/event with a small JSON payload ({"eventtype":"feed","eventsubtype":"breast"}). The onboard RGB LED blinks the event's colour so you get tactile and visual confirmation.

Baby tracker suite: common questions

What microcontroller does the Baby tracker suite use?

The Baby tracker suite is built around the ESP32-C3 SuperMini, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Baby tracker suite PCB?

The Baby tracker suite measures 80 × 100 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Baby tracker suite?

17 components, from 17 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Baby tracker suite design files?

From the aamat09/baby-tracker-suite repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Baby tracker suite design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which aamat09 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Baby tracker suite without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
