About the MEOW Power Distribution V2 PCB
MEOW Power Distribution V2 is an open source PCB design by andrewgond, published on GitHub under the Apache-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 75 × 49 mm, with 14 components from 9 distinct parts.
Other key parts include the LM2596S-3.3 and LM2596S-5. By type, the board carries 4 capacitors, 3 connectors, 3 diodes, 2 ICs and 2 inductors.
It belongs with the power & battery designs in this gallery.
From the project
M.E.O.W. automated pet feeder, a system that dispenses food and logs pet weight using load cells and RFID identification. The goal is to support long-term tracking of pet health trends such as obesity, malnutrition, or abnormal feeding behavior.
This block is located on the exterior input of the system, accepting standard U.S. wall power and converting it into a regulated low-voltage DC bus at several predetermined voltages that all other M.E.O.W. subsystems can utilize. Every other block in the system depends on this stable power for its parts to function and is in charge of isolation, overcurrent protection, and providing enough power for the other components in the system.
