This project is my attempt to learn about microcontroller and PCB design. Now I realize that making a full, complete electronic project is super hard. I made all the steps in this project, from designing the PCB to program the firmware. To be honest, the PCB design process is harder. Choose components, read the datasheets and lots of schematics, make a design, review and fix errors, quite a lot of work. But it's worth all the pennies and efforts I spent for this project.

Dalws: common questions

What microcontroller does the Dalws use?

The Dalws is built around the C60420, from the STM32 family.

How big is the Dalws PCB?

The Dalws measures 64 × 43 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6062 mm thick.

How many components are on the Dalws?

72 components, from 40 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Dalws design files?

From the anhldptit2610/dalws repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Dalws design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which anhldptit2610 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Dalws without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
