About the Antons-Split-Keyboard-STASIS PCB

Antons-Split-Keyboard-STASIS is an open source Nordic nRF PCB design by anton2785-bit, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 207.5 × 138.7 mm, with 84 components from 6 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the XIAO-nRF52840-SMD, from the Nordic nRF family. By type, the board carries 40 switches, 38 diodes, 4 resistors and 2 ICs.

It belongs with the keyboards and iot & wireless designs in this gallery.

From the project

Its a split keyboard with BT

I wanted to have a small portable keyboard that I can still use for typing and to be compact. --- ## Images This is an image of the schematic: *

The 3D model of the PCB: The case with half of the keyboard:

First I need to soulder everything to the PCB Then I need to upload a test code that will let me see what switch is what signals. Before it being done you need to put the now done assembly into the case. After that I upload the real code and I am happy to use it afterwards.

Antons-Split-Keyboard-STASIS: common questions

What microcontroller does the Antons-Split-Keyboard-STASIS use?

The Antons-Split-Keyboard-STASIS is built around the XIAO-nRF52840-SMD, from the Nordic nRF family.

How big is the Antons-Split-Keyboard-STASIS PCB?

The Antons-Split-Keyboard-STASIS measures 207.5 × 138.7 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Antons-Split-Keyboard-STASIS?

84 components, from 6 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Antons-Split-Keyboard-STASIS design files?

From the anton2785-bit/Antons-Split-Keyboard-STASIS repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Antons-Split-Keyboard-STASIS design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with anton2785-bit. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Antons-Split-Keyboard-STASIS without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug Nordic nRF firmware against it before you order a PCB.
