About the Carrier tracing PCB

Carrier tracing is an open source PCB design by anuejn, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 73.6 × 95.5 mm, with 60 components from 8 distinct parts.

By type, the board carries 27 resistors, 19 capacitors, 7 diodes, 6 connectors and 1 IC.

It belongs with the sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

reverse engineering the canon 5D mark II (5D2) image sensor

This repository contains notes tools for reverse engineering the image sensor of the Canon EOS 5D mark II DSLR. The reverse engineering is work in progress and not in a state where the sensor is useable. The image sensor is relatively cheap available (~40€) and has a "full frame" sized active area (36mm × 24mm) with 5,616px × 3,744px (21.0 MP). The 5D mark II important in popularizing DSLR cameras for video making and the Magic Lantern firmware was originally written for this camera.

Carrier tracing: common questions

How big is the Carrier tracing PCB?

The Carrier tracing measures 73.6 × 95.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Carrier tracing?

60 components, from 8 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Carrier tracing design files?

From the anuejn/2d5 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Carrier tracing design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with anuejn. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
