From the project
This folder contains a minimal KiCad 8 project for a 50×35 mm carrier: ESP32‑C3 SuperMini headers, DRV8833 (HTSSOP-16), 3.3 V LDO (SOT-23-5), battery JST‑PH, motor JST‑PH, I2C header, NeoPixel pad, bulk cap, and a TP4056 header.

- Power - J3 (JST‑PH 2‑pin): LiPo 1S to VBAT/GND. - U2 (LDO): VBAT → +3V3 for ESP & sensors. - U1 (DRV8833): VM ← VBAT; add C1 470–1000 µF across VM–GND. - Motors: M1/M2 JST‑PH to left/right N20 motors.

Kicadsbot: common questions
What microcontroller does the Kicadsbot use?
The Kicadsbot is built around the ESP32-C3_LEFT_1X09, from the ESP32 family.
How big is the Kicadsbot PCB?
The Kicadsbot measures 50 × 35 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Kicadsbot?
12 components, from 12 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Kicadsbot design files?
From the asimai60/kicadsbot repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Kicadsbot design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with asimai60. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Kicadsbot without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
