In the present Master’s Degree Final Project, a Battery Management System (BMS) has been designed and manufactured, as well as a modular battery configurable at different voltages and capacities, with the aim of being able to power isolated electronic systems such as devices for capturing eco-acoustic significance indexes. The electronic design of the different modules that make up the power supply and management system has been carried out, as well as the calculation and design of the battery based on lithium-ion cells and its mechanical structure. In order to be able to supply this system…

CAN2Serial: common questions
What microcontroller does the CAN2Serial use?
The CAN2Serial is built around the ADG731, from the AVR/Arduino family.
How big is the CAN2Serial PCB?
The CAN2Serial measures 67.3 × 52.1 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the CAN2Serial?
33 components, from 30 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the CAN2Serial design files?
From the AugustoS97/BMS-BatterySystem repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the CAN2Serial design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which AugustoS97 chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the CAN2Serial without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
