From the project

HadesFCS is an open-source flight-control-system hardware project by pms67, distributed as KiCad designs across several boards.

HadesFCS is an open-source flight-control-system hardware project by pms67, distributed as KiCad designs across several boards.

This project takes those boards and reconstructs each schematic programmatically with SKiDL — a Python module that describes electronic circuits in code and emits a standard KiCad netlist. Each generated netlist is then compared, net-for-net, against the original to prove the reconstruction is electrically identical.

HadesFCS: common questions

What microcontroller does the HadesFCS use?

The HadesFCS is built around the STM32H753VITx, from the STM32 family.

How many components are on the HadesFCS?

195 components, from 68 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the HadesFCS design files?

From the avajones081196/HadesFCS repository on GitHub, which has a netlist; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the HadesFCS design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with avajones081196. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the HadesFCS without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
