About the OrphBeatPad PCB
OrphBeatPad is an open source ESP32 PCB design by Axe-1st, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 112.7 × 121.4 mm, with 57 components from 18 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1-N16R2, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the AMS1117-3.3. By type, the board carries 15 resistors, 14 diodes, 12 ICs, 10 capacitors, 3 switches and 2 connectors.
It belongs with the sensors designs in this gallery.
From the project
A custom Beat pad with awesome design!
- couldn't find a FSR sensor thats bent sorry!
- Step 1 Make sure all of your materials are ready such as (PCB, Stencil, Compoments, Hot Plate, 3D printed Case) if not don't worry as you can buy the compoments online from digikey and Jlcpcb! Check the BOM cause it has links!
- Step 2 Align the Stencil and spread solder Paste
- Step 3 Gently remove the stencil then place all of your compoments to reflow it at the hot plate! (you can use a soldering iron if you think you can do it!) a little tip when placing start from smallest to biggest!\

OrphBeatPad: common questions
What microcontroller does the OrphBeatPad use?
The OrphBeatPad is built around the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1-N16R2, from the ESP32 family.
How big is the OrphBeatPad PCB?
The OrphBeatPad measures 112.7 × 121.4 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the OrphBeatPad?
57 components, from 18 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the OrphBeatPad design files?
From the Axe-1st/OrphBeatPad repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the OrphBeatPad design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Axe-1st. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the OrphBeatPad without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
