Eventually some of these TODOs will be broken down into tickets on the issue tracker. Need to work out some finer details on design first.

The legacy Splash build system is being completely rewritten and replaced. We'd love to write some developer documentation and formally specify the APIs for various existing components, as well as writing specifications for not-yet-implemented peripherals/drivers/services Fix the SARATOGA L1 cache so the miss servicing latency isn't so bad. Reduce hazards between SARATOGA execution units so we…

Marblewalrus switch: common questions

What microcontroller does the Marblewalrus switch use?

The Marblewalrus switch is built around the XC7Z010-1CLG225C, from the FPGA family.

How big is the Marblewalrus switch PCB?

The Marblewalrus switch measures 167.2 × 100 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Marblewalrus switch?

798 components, from 85 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Marblewalrus switch design files?

From the azonenberg/antikernel repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Marblewalrus switch design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with azonenberg. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Marblewalrus switch without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug FPGA firmware against it before you order a PCB.
