About the Schraeg PCB

Schraeg is an open source PCB design by barnabywalters, published on GitHub under the CC-BY-SA-4.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 84.5 × 128.5 mm, with 110 components from 36 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the TL074 and V2164. By type, the board carries 49 resistors, 28 capacitors, 6 diodes, 5 ICs and 2 fuses.

It belongs with the audio designs in this gallery.

From the project

An 8HP eurorack multimode filter module based on the Bastl Cinnamon

Schräg is an 8HP multimode filter module for the eurorack format, based off the Bastl Cinnamon.

As of 2021-03-01, at least one person has reported successfully building the current board revision. However, another builder reported a minor issue with the attenuverter circuits which prevents full-range voltage control over resonance (and limits voltage control over FM). This should be fixable only with component substitutions, we’re working on a fix. More information and updates in the corresponding lines thread.

Schraeg: common questions

How big is the Schraeg PCB?

The Schraeg measures 84.5 × 128.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Schraeg?

110 components, from 36 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Schraeg design files?

From the barnabywalters/Schraeg repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Schraeg design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CC-BY-SA-4.0 license, which barnabywalters chose for the repository.
