About the BQStripped PCB

BQStripped is an open source PCB design by bootchk, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 9 × 9 mm, with 18 components from 11 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the BQ25504. By type, the board carries 1 IC and 1 inductor.

It belongs with the power & battery designs in this gallery.

From the project

Minimal PCB for TI BQ25504 energy harvester

Stripped means the voltage monitoring and battery management features of the BQ25504 are not used in the normal fashion. Instead, if there is enough energy to harvest, the board charges the power out pins. Voltage out ranges from 0 to >6 volts. Typically used with a solar cell input and a tantalum capacitor output.

See the BQ25504 data sheet and solar example circuits.
