About the Travaulta WKL PCB
Travaulta WKL is an open source STM32 PCB design by calvin-mcd, published on GitHub under the CC-BY-NC-4.0 license. It is a 4-layer board measuring 208.3 × 75.8 mm, with 46 components from 18 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the STM32F401CBUX, from the STM32 family. Other key parts include the XC6206PXXXMR, 74HC4051 and OPA350. By type, the board carries 23 resistors, 13 capacitors, 5 ICs, 1 crystal, 1 jumper and 1 diode.
It belongs with the keyboards designs in this gallery.
From the project
topre pcb for the vault35
The travaultas are a series of EC (topre) pcbs for mechvault's Vault35 series designed by calvin0563.
The series consists of the HHKB and WKL pcbs, both supporting a single bottomrow layout with the double 1.75u splitbars, and the Number/Macropad, supporting all layout options.
Firmware source code and the OEM plate file are available in their respective folders. In order to fit the topre pcb into the case, small modifications to some housings are necessary. Please refer to the extensive build guide by cia\_moonchild in order to learn how to make the assembled pcb fit into the vault35 case.

Travaulta WKL: common questions
What microcontroller does the Travaulta WKL use?
The Travaulta WKL is built around the STM32F401CBUX, from the STM32 family.
How big is the Travaulta WKL PCB?
The Travaulta WKL measures 208.3 × 75.8 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.59 mm thick.
How many components are on the Travaulta WKL?
46 components, from 18 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Travaulta WKL design files?
From the calvin-mcd/travaulta repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Travaulta WKL design in my own project?
It is published under CC-BY-NC-4.0, which limits how it may be reused; read the license before building on it.
Can I test firmware for the Travaulta WKL without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
