About the DIY-marauder PCB

DIY-marauder is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by ChladpavPy, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 59.5 × 83.5 mm, with 5 components from 4 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the XIAO-RP2040-DIP, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. By type, the board carries 3 switches, 1 IC and 1 connector.

It belongs with the keyboards, iot & wireless and displays & leds designs in this gallery.

From the project

custom built maurauder pcb based on rp2040 microcontroller

I have made this project because it was my first ever pcb project and I started with blueprint, I wanted something cool looking, like pentesting device for ethical hacking and as a experimental gadget that I could programm whatever way I wanted to do something cool and finally bring the code to life.

A custom macro keypad / pentesting node based on the Seeed XIAO ESP32S3 (originally designed for RP2040). Designed in KiCad and Fusion 360.

DIY-marauder: common questions

What microcontroller does the DIY-marauder use?

The DIY-marauder is built around the XIAO-RP2040-DIP, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the DIY-marauder PCB?

The DIY-marauder measures 59.5 × 83.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the DIY-marauder?

5 components, from 4 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the DIY-marauder design files?

From the ChladpavPy/DIY-marauder repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the DIY-marauder design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which ChladpavPy chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the DIY-marauder without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
