Li-IonBatteryProtection is an open source PCB design by cnobile2012, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 147.2 × 58.3 mm, with 69 components from 24 distinct parts.
Other key parts include the LM311N and PC817. By type, the board carries 31 resistors, 11 test points, 8 ICs, 6 transistors, 4 diodes and 4 capacitors.
It belongs with the power & battery designs in this gallery.
From the project
Circuit to protect Li-Ion and Li-Po batteries at the cell level.
********************** Li-Ion Battery Protection ********************** The MIT License (MIT)
This is an electronics project to help protect Li-Ion batteries and the circuits they are used in. The circuit will work with two to four cells and protects the battery at the cell level. Any one cell that goes below the recomended level will cause the entire curcuit to shut down.
