About the Hardware PCB

Hardware is an open source PCB design by CropSentry, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a board, with 13 components from 9 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the SGP41-D-R4, BME688 and SHT4x. By type, the board carries 5 ICs, 5 capacitors and 3 resistors.

It belongs with the power & battery, sensors and rf & radio designs in this gallery.

**_______________________________________________________________________________________**

CropSentry is a battery-and-solar sensor node that sits in a field and measures the volatile organic compounds a plant emits, alongside soil moisture and ambient conditions. Plants under stress change their VOC output before visible symptoms appear, so a node reading those compounds continuously can flag a problem earlier than a person walking rows.

Hardware: common questions

How many components are on the Hardware?

13 components, from 9 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Hardware design files?

From the CropSentry/Hardware repository on GitHub, which has the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Hardware design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which CropSentry chose for the repository.
