About the Portable-Arduino-UNO-Shield

Portable-Arduino-UNO-Shield is an open source PCB design by DariusSasarman, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 91.6 Γ— 53.3 mm, with 29 components from 26 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the TPS61200DRC, CH340E and MCP73831-2-OT. By type, the board carries 7 capacitors, 7 resistors, 5 connectors, 3 ICs, 2 diodes and 1 transistor.

It belongs with the dev boards & breakouts, usb & debug tools and wearables designs in this gallery.

From the project

πŸ›‘οΈβš‘πŸ”‹πŸ”ŒπŸ“±An Arduino UNO shield that makes the board portable and USB-C compatible. Made in KiCad

A shield that you can use to upgrade older Arduino UNO boards such that your projects don't need extra batteries nor cables. Just the one your phone uses!

Ever had a project that needed the arduino to be mounted somewhere such that a USB connection couldn't have been possible? I did.

I build it by integrating both a standard Li-ion charging circuit (MCP73831 reference design) with a boost converter topology and a USB-serial interface. Added my own custom changes to these, such as the LED and battery switch. It has been a wonderful experiment.
