From the project
Modular STM32G474 Flight Controller Rev-A. Focus on modularity using JST-SH connectors for all peripherals (ESC, RX, etc.). ICM-42688-P IMU and DPS368 barometer. Requires external 5V 2.5A (no onboard BEC). 30.5x30.5mm mouting holes.
M-FC has been flying on a 5" freestyle build for over a year.
M-FC is a DIY flight controller designed for FPV drones 30.5x30.5mm mounting holes, built around the STM32G474RET6 microcontroller and running Betaflight 4.6. The "Modular" name reflects the connector philosophy — every peripheral interface is broken out via JST-SH connectors, making wiring clean, repeatable, and swap-friendly.

M-FC: common questions
What microcontroller does the M-FC use?
The M-FC is built around the STM32G474RET6, from the STM32 family.
How big is the M-FC PCB?
The M-FC measures 38.5 × 42 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the M-FC?
88 components, from 36 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the M-FC design files?
From the Def12345678/M-FC-G474-Rev-A repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the M-FC design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which Def12345678 chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the M-FC without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
