About the M-PDB PCB

M-PDB is an open source PCB design by Def12345678, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 4-layer board measuring 38.5 × 42 mm, with 21 components from 17 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the AT7456E and DPS368XTSA1. By type, the board carries 10 capacitors, 6 resistors, 2 ICs, 2 inductors and 1 connector.

It belongs with the robotics & motion, sensors and power & battery designs in this gallery.

From the project

Modular STM32G474 Flight Controller Rev-A. Focus on modularity using JST-SH connectors for all peripherals (ESC, RX, etc.). ICM-42688-P IMU and DPS368 barometer. Requires external 5V 2.5A (no onboard BEC). 30.5x30.5mm mouting holes.

M-FC has been flying on a 5" freestyle build for over a year.

M-FC is a DIY flight controller designed for FPV drones 30.5x30.5mm mounting holes, built around the STM32G474RET6 microcontroller and running Betaflight 4.6. The "Modular" name reflects the connector philosophy — every peripheral interface is broken out via JST-SH connectors, making wiring clean, repeatable, and swap-friendly.

M-PDB: common questions

How big is the M-PDB PCB?

The M-PDB measures 38.5 × 42 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the M-PDB?

21 components, from 17 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the M-PDB design files?

From the Def12345678/M-FC-G474-Rev-A repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the M-PDB design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which Def12345678 chose for the repository.
