Its main chip is the XIAO-ESP32-S3-SMD, from the ESP32 family. By type, the board carries 4 test points, 3 resistors, 2 capacitors, 1 IC, 1 transistor and 1 connector.
It belongs with the robotics & motion and iot & wireless designs in this gallery.
From the project
xiao esp32s3 based elrs drone with custom flight controller
mica is a compact wireless FPV drone built around an XIAO ESP32-S3, with a custom-designed flight controller and a custom 3D-printed frame. The project focuses on building a lightweight, self-contained drone platform with ExpressLRS (ELRS) control, custom electronics, and a mechanical design tailored specifically to the hardware.

Mica: common questions
What microcontroller does the Mica use?
The Mica is built around the XIAO-ESP32-S3-SMD, from the ESP32 family.
How big is the Mica PCB?
The Mica measures 36.8 × 36.6 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Mica?
16 components, from 15 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Mica design files?
From the dialgorithm/mica repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Mica design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with dialgorithm. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Mica without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
