Its main chip is the ICE40HX4K-TQ144, from the FPGA family. Other key parts include the IS61WV10248EDBLL-10TLI, AMS1117-3.3 and AMS1117-1.2. By type, the board carries 22 capacitors, 21 resistors, 4 ICs, 4 connectors and 1 crystal.
From the project
This is an experimental project to connect Raspberry Pi with the help of cheap Cyclone IV FPGA board to 8-bit ISA bus to act as multiple different devices.
This is an experimental project to connect Raspberry Pi with the help of cheap Cyclone IV FPGA board to 8-bit ISA bus to act as multiple different devices.
What is currently implemented (to some degree), i.e. PC can access through ISA - Mass storage access from a file on the Raspberry Pi (written sectors are flushed every 2 seconds by default) - Adlib output to optical SPDIF - Sound Blaster 8-bit mono with DMA and IRQ (basic functions only), output to optical SPDIF - Gravis Ultrasound (basic wavetable only), output to optical SPDIF - Roland MT-32 (UART only), output to optical SPDIF - USB…

Minifp: common questions
What microcontroller does the Minifp use?
The Minifp is built around the ICE40HX4K-TQ144, from the FPGA family.
How big is the Minifp PCB?
The Minifp measures 104.1 × 71.1 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Minifp?
52 components, from 17 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Minifp design files?
From the eigenco/frankenpi repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Minifp design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with eigenco. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Minifp without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug FPGA firmware against it before you order a PCB.
