About the Otit PCB

Otit is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by Elektroniikkakerho, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 48.8 × 75.1 mm, with 40 components from 6 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ATTINY861-S, from the AVR/Arduino family. By type, the board carries 32 diodes, 4 resistors, 2 connectors, 1 IC and 1 capacitor.

Otit: common questions

What microcontroller does the Otit use?

The Otit is built around the ATTINY861-S, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the Otit PCB?

The Otit measures 48.8 × 75.1 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Otit?

40 components, from 6 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Otit design files?

From the Elektroniikkakerho/Led-merkki repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Otit design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which Elektroniikkakerho chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Otit without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
