Patternflow is an open source ESP32 PCB design by engmung: a 2-layer, 62 × 116.3 mm board with 9 components (5 distinct parts). It is built around the ESP32-S3-DevKit-44pin. Filed under audio and displays & leds.

An open-source LED synthesizer. Play light patterns with your fingertips — and every Patternflow plays every pattern we make.

Custom board for the Patternflow LED synthesizer — ESP32-S3 DevKit on sockets, four EC11 encoders, HUB75 out, screw-terminal power input. KiCad 10 project.

Current revision: v3.9 — the USB-C power footprint is gone. v3.0 carried a USB1 receptacle and its R1/R2 CC pull-downs that had to be left unpopulated after a delayed burnout (#221); v3.9 removes them from the board outright, so there is exactly one power input and no way to pick the wrong one. Board outline, mounting holes, and every remaining footprint are unchanged from v3.0 — the v3 cases fit both boards. All through-hole, no SMD…
