Its main chip is the RP2350_80QFN, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the C2902316, STM32L031F6P6TR, MCP1700X-120XXMB, FM24CL16B-GTR and C5356643. By type, the board carries 16 resistors, 8 capacitors, 6 ICs, 5 connectors, 2 transistors and 2 switches.

It belongs with the rf & radio and sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

Bramble: Precision Agriculture Mesh

LoRa sensor and actuator network for farm monitoring, built on RP2040.

Hub-and-spoke architecture: a central hub manages the network while nodes collect sensor data (temperature, humidity) and control actuators (irrigation valves). LoRa provides long-range wireless with reliable delivery guarantees.

- Adafruit Feather RP2040 LoRa (SX1276, 915 MHz) - MT25QL01GBBB 128MB external flash for sensor data storage - STM32L010 PMU for power management and sleep

Triac driver: common questions

What microcontroller does the Triac driver use?

The Triac driver is built around the RP2350_80QFN, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the Triac driver PCB?

The Triac driver measures 96 × 90 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Triac driver?

42 components, from 33 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Triac driver design files?

From the erikbeerepoot/bramble repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Triac driver design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with erikbeerepoot. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Triac driver without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
