1. J1 connects the series-aiding sensing pair from CoilDesign.xlsx: 99.936 ohm and 152.568 mH. J4 selects the tank and is the only setup change between the two test bands. A shunt on pins 1-2 connects C25 (47 nF) and C26 (4.7 nF), resonant at 1792 Hz. A shunt on pins 2-3 connects C27 (33 nF) and C28 (4.7 nF), resonant at 2099 Hz. Each tank is about 104 Hz wide because that…

Ece455: common questions

What microcontroller does the Ece455 use?

The Ece455 is built around the Seeed Studio XIAO RP2350, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How many components are on the Ece455?

72 components, from 44 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Ece455 design files?

From the ethanewer/ece455 repository on GitHub, which has a netlist and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Ece455 design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with ethanewer. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Ece455 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
