About the Clickwheel PCB

Clickwheel is an open source PCB design by eyendamuri, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 44.6 × 33.7 mm, with 6 components from 2 distinct parts.

By type, the board carries 5 switches and 1 connector.

It belongs with the audio, power & battery and iot & wireless designs in this gallery.

From the project

An esp32 based mp3 player with the ability to play video too.

A handheld music player built from scratch: custom hardware, custom firmware, custom everything.

aeropod is an iPod-inspired portable media player built around an ESP32. It has a capacitive click wheel, a 240×320 colour display, and plays music three different ways: local files from a microSD card, Spotify (both as a Spotify Connect speaker and through the Web API), and as a Bluetooth speaker over A2DP. It even plays MJPEG video. Everything runs on a custom 4-layer circuit board I designed, inside a 3D-printed case.
