About the D4V2Charger PCB

D4V2Charger is an open source PCB design by FabioTavernini, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-S-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 20.9 × 20.3 mm, with 15 components from 11 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the BQ25185DLHR. By type, the board carries 5 resistors, 3 diodes, 3 capacitors, 1 IC, 1 connector and 1 fuse.

It belongs with the power & battery designs in this gallery.

WIP + POC usb Charging for Emisar D4v2 Flashlight

A work-in-progress proof of concept for adding built-in USB-C charging to the Emisar D4v2 flashlight, using a pogo-pin connector in place of removing the cell to charge it externally.

The charger PCB is a disc that sits sandwiched between the flashlight body tube and the head, in the same joint where they normally screw together. A spring contact on the board presses against the cell's positive terminal, while the pogo-pin connector protrudes to the side to bring in USB-C power through the body wall.
