About the Upet wifi PCB
Upet wifi is an open source ESP32 PCB design by fachat, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 56.4 × 25.4 mm, with 19 components from 14 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the 356-ESP32WRVE22864PC, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the 771-SC16IS752IPW, 972-LH736001.843200I and uPET NET SPI. By type, the board carries 6 resistors, 4 ICs, 4 capacitors, 2 transistors, 2 connectors and 1 diode.
It belongs with the iot & wireless and dev boards & breakouts designs in this gallery.
From the project
Wifi breakout module for the Micro-PET, Ultra-CPU, and Ulti-PET
This is part of a larger project with multiple boards, with upet_family as parent repository.
This module implements a Wifi module for the Micro-PET, the Ultra-CPU, and the Ulti-PET. These boards provide an SPI-based breakout connector, which this module plugs in to.
The Wifi-Module used is an ESP32-C3-WROOM-02 module that uses two serial (rs232 on 3.3V TTL level) interfaces - one for firmware updates and logs, the other for the AT commands used to control the communication. To connect to the main board, this breakout board uses a dual-UART SC16IS752 that has an SPI interface to control it.

Upet wifi: common questions
What microcontroller does the Upet wifi use?
The Upet wifi is built around the 356-ESP32WRVE22864PC, from the ESP32 family.
How big is the Upet wifi PCB?
The Upet wifi measures 56.4 × 25.4 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Upet wifi?
19 components, from 14 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Upet wifi design files?
From the fachat/upet_wifi repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Upet wifi design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with fachat. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Upet wifi without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
