About the LeanLine PCB

LeanLine is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by FBIopeningUPP, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 39.4 × 42.5 mm, with 49 components from 19 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the W25Q128JVP, ICM-42688-P, MIC5219-3.3YM5, AMS1117-5.0 and S4B-XH-SM4-TB(LF)(SN). By type, the board carries 31 capacitors, 8 resistors, 7 ICs, 1 crystal and 1 connector.

It belongs with the sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

A.T.L.A.S. is a bare-metal system it revolves around track-day with ur superbikes. It calculates ur lean angles, track positioning using GPS, and lap times at a frequency of 100Hz, it logs the data directly to your MicroSD card and visualizes the daya in custom PyQt5 Dashboard.

1. The parts can be sourced by providing the BoM CSV file to lcsc from where u can order the parts. 2. The PCB can be ordered through JLCPCB with a stencil for precise soldering. 3. Soldering can be done using low temp solder paste while using the stencil to create a perfect solder layer

LeanLine: common questions

What microcontroller does the LeanLine use?

The LeanLine is built around the RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the LeanLine PCB?

The LeanLine measures 39.4 × 42.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the LeanLine?

49 components, from 19 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the LeanLine design files?

From the FBIopeningUPP/LeanLine repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the LeanLine design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with FBIopeningUPP. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the LeanLine without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
